History of the Clan

Pennsic 1994 was a very, very wet year! Indeed, one morning we awoke to find our camp nearly under water. At least several items in the kitchen were floating! We actually had to get buckets and bail our camp out, carrying it down to the classic swimming hole and dumping it. This year our bats were very “civic minded”. Several of the clan volunteered for security duty from 12 am to 4 am on a few different nights! New to the Clan this year were Laura, Suzi and Cambion. The rock and glide made it’s debut this year. Much to everyone’s amusement a “mosquito alien” arrived in camp one night. Keith was able to come up with a method of communication.

Some of the phrases which were over heard in camp were:

• “Do Not exit the biosphere!”- Kevin to Sam
• “I could roll down this hill faster”,-Jay to whoever was listening
• “Burn the Fucking Rabbit....drink your fucking beer”- Jay and Lea to Timberwolfe in general as they prepared to burn the energizer bunny and then to Dan directly since the three were sharing one mug.
• “Poke it ...cuz you can!”- most likely stated by everyone at one time or another
