Directions to Pennsic

Pennsic takes place at Cooper’s Lake Campground, RD #2 in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. To get there from the DC metro area, take 495 north to Rockville. Exit on 270 and proceed to 70 west. Continue until you arrive at the Pennsylvania turnpike (I-76). This happens at the scenic town of Breezewood. You want to take the turnpike west towards Pittsburgh and Ohio. Stay on the turnpike, past Pittsburgh, until you see an exit for I-79 North to Eire (I believe this is exit #3 for Cranberry). Remember: the turnpike is a toll road and an estimate of the toll exacted is $6.00. (each way) Take I-79 North for about 45 miles until you see an exit for Route 422 West.(exit 29) Take that exit and turn left onto Route 422 (West). Proceed approximately 1/4 mile to the sign for Cooper’s Lake Campground (sign is small) and turn right onto Currie Road. There is a tricky one-lane bridge just down the road about a half mile. Continue on this road until you reach the troll booth.
